Nambu University Shines at ISSF World Junior Shooting Championships
The Nambu University shooting team participated in the '2023 ISSF World Junior Shooting Championships' held in Changwon, Gyeongnam from the 14th to the 25th, and on the 26th announced that all participating athletes distinguished themselves by winning awards.
Representing South Korea as selected world junior athletes, Nambu University’s Won Chae-eun (1st year) won 3rd place individually in the Women's 25m Standard Pistol event, Kim Min-su (2nd year) achieved 2nd place in the Men's 25m Standard Pistol team event, and Kim Do-yeop (1st year) secured 2nd place in the 25m Sports Pistol team event, with all athletes earning awards.
President Seo Beom-seok said, “I am proud of all of you who worked hard under difficult conditions. I hope you continue to work harder and become athletes who can represent our country,” delivering an encouraging message to the team.
Coach Kim Soon-hee stated, “I am grateful to the athletes who endured the tough training. I am very pleased that the players seem to have laid a foundation to demonstrate even better performance in future competitions, and I am very proud of our athletes.”
