The "2023 Boseong Tourism Photography National Contest," which seeks the beautiful scenery of Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, will be held.

This tourism photography contest is organized by the Jangheung branch of the Korea Photographers Association and sponsored by Boseong-gun, the Boseong County Council, the Korea Photographers Association, and the Jeollanam-do branch of the Korea Photographers Association.

The grand prize entry should be a photographic work featuring tourism resources such as tourist attractions, festivals, cultural and art events, sports events, and daily life that can represent Boseong in 2023.

Entries can be submitted from November 1 to November 17, 2023. Digital photos with a resolution of over 3000 pixels should be printed in 11×14 inch size and submitted to the Jangheung branch of the Korea Photographers Association. On the back of the work, an entry form including the title of the work, name, address, postal code, phone number, shooting location, and shooting date and time must be attached.

The contest results will be announced on November 27, and judging will be conducted by the Jeollanam-do branch of the Korea Photographers Association. Winners will be awarded membership points in the Korea Photographers Association.

Prizes include 1 Gold Prize (1,000,000 KRW), 2 Silver Prizes (500,000 KRW each), 3 Bronze Prizes (300,000 KRW each), 5 Honorable Mentions (200,000 KRW each), and 35 Finalists (100,000 KRW each), totaling 46 awarded works with a total prize money of 7,400,000 KRW.

The winning works will be used for promotional materials and the development of new tourism resources, and will also be exhibited in public places such as the Boseong County Office, Botjae, and the Juamho Ecological Center.

A representative from Boseong-gun said, "We hope that many attractive photos capturing the vividness of Boseong will be submitted through this contest, allowing us to discover and widely share the hidden beauty throughout Boseong."
