World's Largest Aluminum Company 'Novelis' Donates 50 Million KRW for Yeongju Flood Relief Fund
Izanaholdings Also Donates Disinfectant
Yeongju City in Gyeongbuk Province is scheduled to receive a donation of 50 million KRW for flood damage recovery from Novelis, the world's largest rolled aluminum production and recycling company, on the afternoon of the 26th.
On the same afternoon, Novelis executives (Sachin Sapute, President of Novelis Asia; Park Jonghwa, CEO of Novelis Korea; and Lee Sangin, Plant Manager of Novelis Yeongju) will visit Yeongju City Hall in person to deliver the donation and express their gratitude for Yeongju’s flood recovery efforts.

View original imagePresident Sachin Sapute said, “We extend our deepest condolences to the local residents suffering from the record-breaking heavy rain and flood damage,” adding, “We hope this will help with the swift recovery efforts in the affected areas and support for the disaster victims.”
Mayor Park Namseo of Yeongju said, “We thank Novelis Korea for their active support in overcoming Yeongju’s disaster,” and added, “We will do our utmost to help citizens restore their daily lives as soon as possible.”
Novelis operates a state-of-the-art aluminum rolling plant and Asia’s largest aluminum recycling center in Yeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do, supplying eco-friendly low-carbon aluminum products to global markets. Since starting operations in 1993, Novelis has continued various social contribution activities and is currently actively supporting community projects in Yeongju.
Izana Holdings (CEO Chae Hongsuk) also visited Yeongju City Hall on the 25th and donated microbial deodorizer Naemssissak worth approximately 10 million KRW.
CEO Chae said, “As my hometown is Mungyeong, Gyeongbuk, I donated microbial deodorizer to help the Yeongju area, which suffered great damage from this heavy rain,” and added, “I hope that households affected by flooding can disinfect with the microbial deodorizer and return home as soon as possible.”

Izana Holdings is a natural fermentation specialist company located in Donghae City, Gangwon Province. Yeongju City plans to use the donated items to remove odors from households affected by flood damage.
