Hyundai Green Food, a comprehensive food company under Hyundai Department Store Group, announced on the 26th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Yongin Western Police Station in Gyeonggi Province to protect and support socially vulnerable groups in welfare blind spots.

Under this agreement, Hyundai Green Food plans to provide healthy greeting meals such as Samgyetang and abalone porridge three times a year to 500 children residing in communal living homes for abused children and local children's centers within the jurisdiction. Additionally, it will support employment linkage programs to help socially vulnerable individuals exposed to domestic violence become self-reliant, as well as food-related certification courses for multicultural family support centers. For abused children in need of financial assistance, up to 100,000 KRW per month will be provided for a maximum of six years.

Hyundai Green Food is also conducting various projects to help solve social issues faced by isolated elderly groups, including providing diabetes-friendly meal boxes for elderly living alone, sharing kimchi with low-income elderly households, and supporting air purifiers for senior welfare centers.
