BPA, Reannouncement of Selection for Lease Operator of Busan New Port Smart Joint Logistics Center
Busan Port Authority (BPA) closed the application for the selection of the lease operator for the Busan New Port Smart Joint Logistics Center from May 26 to July 24, a period of 60 days, but the bid was unsuccessful.
Accordingly, BPA will conduct a re-announcement for 35 days from July 25 to August 28. There are no changes to the bidding conditions, and the deadline for the re-announcement application is from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on August 28.
After the re-announcement, if there is only one bidder, BPA plans to form an external evaluation committee according to the National Contract Act to assess the business capability and plans of the bidding company, and then select and announce the preferred negotiation candidate.

A BPA official stated, “To successfully promote the Busan New Port Smart Joint Logistics Center project, we will promptly select the lease operator and actively proceed with related tasks to ensure that the logistics center design and other schedules can be carried out as planned.”
