Booyoung Group Donates 300 Million KRW for Heavy Rain Damage Recovery
Booyoung Group announced on the 25th that it will donate 300 million KRW to the National Disaster Relief Association to support flood recovery efforts in areas affected by the heavy rain.
A Booyoung Group official stated, "We decided to contribute flood recovery funds to express our condolences to the residents of the severely affected areas who have suffered greatly due to the record-breaking heavy rain and to support the recovery efforts. We hope this will be a small help for the victims to quickly return to their daily lives."
Booyoung Group has supported disaster and accident victims with donations or apartments whenever such events occurred. Notably, they donated funds for the 2017 Pohang earthquake damage, as well as for wildfire damages in the Gangwon region and the East Coast in 2019, 2022, and this year, and provided Booyoung apartments to ensure housing stability for the victims.
Additionally, the group has actively responded to disasters by donating funds to support the families of the Cheonan ship sinking victims, the national fundraising for the Sewol ferry disaster, recovery funds for the Gyeongju earthquake damage, restoration funds for the Daegu Seomun Market fire damage, and recovery funds for the Yeosu fish market fire damage. They have also fulfilled corporate social responsibility by supporting overseas disasters, including flood relief funds for Sierra Leone, disaster relief funds for Peru and Colombia, and relief funds related to the dam collapse in Laos.
