Busan Gijang-gun Launches Full-Scale Support Program for Single-Person Households
Busan Gijang-gun will officially operate a support program for single-person households starting in August to promote social interaction and enhance self-care capabilities.
This program targets middle-aged single-person households in the area and will run for one month starting in mid-August.
The detailed programs include three courses aimed at economic, housing management, and dietary improvement: ▲Single-Person Household Economic Education ‘Alssuljaemu’ ▲Level 2 Certification Course in Organizing and Storage ‘Master of Organization’ ▲Healthy Cooking Class Together ‘Precious My Table’. The courses will be held once a week from 7 PM to 9 PM.
The Single-Person Household Economic Education ‘Alssuljaemu’ will be held four times every Wednesday from August 16 to September 6. It covers topics such as healthy financial planning and retirement management for middle-aged single-person households, as well as prevention methods for financial and real estate fraud. Participants can also receive 1:1 financial consulting upon request.
The Level 2 Certification Course in Organizing and Storage ‘Master of Organization’ will be conducted four times every Thursday from August 17 to September 14 (excluding September 7). Participants will acquire organizing and storage knowledge applicable to different housing areas and have the opportunity to obtain a Level 2 certification in organizing and storage.
The Healthy Cooking Class Together ‘Precious My Table’ will be held four times every Friday from August 18 to September 8. Under the theme ‘Making Healthy Summer Nourishing Food,’ participants will experience healthy menus using seasonal ingredients and develop their cooking skills.
Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis from July 24 to August 11. Any middle-aged single-person household in their 40s to 50s residing in Gijang-gun can apply by phone or via the QR code on the promotional poster.
