Korea Zinc donated 500 million KRW to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association on the 24th to support the rapid recovery of areas affected by the heavy rain.
This donation will be used to provide daily necessities to disaster victims, support the restoration of damaged facilities, and assist vulnerable groups with housing safety.
Choi Yoon-beom, Chairman of Korea Zinc, said, “I extend my deepest condolences and encouragement to the residents affected by the heavy rain and hope they can return to their daily lives as soon as possible.”
Korea Zinc practices shared growth management with local communities by providing recovery donations during disasters such as floods and wildfires, supporting residents and socially marginalized groups.

In March last year, it donated 500 million KRW for wildfire recovery in the Gangwon and Gyeongbuk regions; 500 million KRW in August of the same year for flood recovery; 500 million KRW in February 2020 for COVID-19 relief; 500 million KRW in August 2020 for flood recovery; 300 million KRW in April 2019 for wildfire recovery in Gangwon; and 500 million KRW in 2016 to support typhoon damage relief in Ulsan, where its smelting plant is located.
