Apartment Move-in Volume in August at Around 27,000 Units... Lowest in 7 Years
This August, the nationwide apartment move-in volume is expected to be around 27,000 households, marking the lowest in seven years.
According to Real Estate R114 on the 24th, the total scheduled apartment move-in volume nationwide for August is 27,710 households (including rentals). This is the lowest volume since August 2016, when 27,488 households moved in. Compared to the average volume for August from 2016 to 2022 (34,397 households), it has decreased by about 20%.
Compared to last year, the metropolitan area decreased by 16%, and the provinces decreased by 23%, with the provinces experiencing a larger decline. In the metropolitan area, 14,103 households will move in. In Seoul, three complexes including Seocho-gu’s "Raemian One Bailey (2,990 households)" will be supplied with a total of 3,095 households. Raemian One Bailey is a large-scale apartment complex (over 1,000 households) in Seocho-gu, marking the first move-in in two years since "Seocho Grangjai (1,446 households)" in June 2021.
The move-in volume in Gyeonggi Province increased by about 2,000 households compared to the previous month, accounting for more than two-thirds of the total supply in the metropolitan area. In Gyeonggi, 16 complexes with a total of 9,790 households are scheduled for move-in. The move-in volume is concentrated mainly in the southern areas such as Hwaseong and Uiwang. Residents will move into complexes such as 'Hwaseong City Hall Station Seohee Star Hills 4th Forest Village' in Namyang-eup, Hwaseong City (1,846 households), 'Bongdam 2 District Joongheung S Class Edu Park' in Bongdam-eup (1,050 households), and 'e-Pyeonhansesang Gocheon Park Luce' in Gocheon-dong, Uiwang City (870 households). On the other hand, Incheon will have only one complex moving in: 'Gajaeul Station Truel Eco City' in Gajwa-dong, Seo-gu (1,218 households).

In the provinces, three regions?Gyeongnam (3,124 households), Chungnam (2,591 households), and Daegu (2,461 households)?account for more than half of the total provincial move-in volume. Large-scale apartment complexes with over 1,000 households supplied through redevelopment projects will continue to welcome residents, including 'Changwon Prugio The Platinum' in Gyobang-dong, Changwon City (1,538 households), 'Seodaegu Central Xi' in Wondae-dong 3-ga, Seo-gu, Daegu (1,526 households), and 'Yangjeong Forehills Switzen' in Yangjeong-dong, Busanjin-gu, Busan (1,338 households).
