Top actress Hirosue Ryoko (43), famous as Japan's national little sister, has divorced her husband Candle Jun after admitting to an affair with a famous chef.
On the 23rd (local time), Hirosue Ryoko announced through her official website, "After consulting with Jun, we agreed to divorce and submitted the paperwork," adding, "I will have custody."
Hirosue Ryoko said, "I was worried about causing another uproar with my private life and hesitated to announce the divorce. I decided to reveal it in hopes that the children's anxiety would not spread further after the situation ends," and expressed, "I am grateful to those who supported me."
Last month, the Japanese weekly magazine Shukan Bunshun reported that Hirosue Ryoko had an affair with the famous chef Toba Shusaku.
Following this, her agency issued an official statement saying, "We leave personal matters to her, but after this report, we have given Hirosue Ryoko a stern warning to act responsibly."
This is Hirosue Ryoko's second divorce. She married fashion designer Okazawa Takahiro in 2003 and divorced in 2008. She then remarried candle artist Candle Jun in 2010. From her two marriages, she has two sons and one daughter.
In 2014, even after marrying Candle Jun, Hirosue Ryoko was once embroiled in an affair rumor with actor Sato Takeru, who is nine years her junior. This year, another scandal has arisen.
