Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) opened the ‘Jungnang-gu Mobile Workers’ Rest Area’ on the 20th and has begun full operation.
The ‘Jungnang-gu Mobile Workers’ Rest Area’ is a resting space where mobile workers, whose workplaces are not fixed, can wait during work or rest comfortably.
The rest area opened on the 1st floor of the Jungnang-gu Social Economy Support Center in Junghwa-dong and is equipped with convenience facilities such as heating and cooling systems, tables, sofas, mobile phone chargers, shared tablets, and helmet dryers.
Any mobile workers, including couriers, delivery drivers, designated drivers, water and gas meter readers, caregivers, and private tutors, can freely use the rest area. It operates on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi of Jungnang-gu said, “I hope that the newly opened rest area will become a comfortable resting space for mobile workers who have worked without a proper place to rest during the summer heatwaves, rainy season, and winter cold waves.” He added, “We will continue to diversify support projects for mobile workers to create a better working environment.”
