Jeju Development Corporation Hosts the 10th Jeju Samdasoo Masters
Jeju Development Corporation announced on the 23rd that it will host the "10th Jeju Samdasoo Masters," featuring the top domestic players.
This tournament serves as the second half opener of the KLPGA Tour and will be held for four days from the 3rd to the 6th of next month at Blackstone Jeju in Hallim-eup, Jeju City. The total prize money is 1 billion KRW, with the winner's prize at 180 million KRW. The event is hosted by Jeju Development Corporation and sponsored by Jeju Special Self-Governing Province and Kwangdong Pharmaceutical.
Top domestic players including world No.1 female golfer Ko Jin-young (28, Solaire), defending champion Ji Han-sol (27, Dongbu Construction), 3rd in prize money ranking Lee Ye-won (20, KB Financial Group), 4th Park Hyun-kyung (23, Korea Land Trust), and super rookie Bang Shin-sil (19, KB Financial Group) among 132 elite players will participate.
Within the course, a Birdie Sharing Donation Hole and a Dream Tree Nurturing Donation Zone will be operated. The Birdie Sharing Donation Hole contributes to spreading a culture of sharing by donating funds accumulated according to players' birdie records to vulnerable groups. Additionally, the Dream Tree Nurturing Donation Zone accumulates donations based on players' records in the donation zone and delivers them to funds supporting the development of golf hopefuls in the Jeju region.
On the official practice day, the 2nd of next month, local golf hopefuls will be invited to receive one-point lessons from key participants of the tournament, including Park In-bee, the first Asian player to achieve a Grand Slam.
Various events will also be held for galleries visiting the tournament venue. These include prize draws every round, scratch lottery events, prize roulette events, and putting events. Additionally, a stamp tour to experience various spots around the venue, a resource circulation experience event, and a BBQ party are prepared as diverse programs for family-oriented galleries.
