Forest Service Issues Landslide Warning Upgrade for Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Gangwon
Warning to Critical as of 1 PM
The Korea Forest Service announced on the 22nd at 1 PM that the landslide warning level has been raised from caution to severe for the Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, Gangwon, Chungnam, Gyeongbuk, Jeonbuk, and Jeonnam regions.
The warning levels are classified as attention, caution, alert, and severe. The Busan, Daegu, Gwangju, Daejeon, Ulsan, Sejong, Chungbuk, and Gyeongnam regions are at the alert level, while Jeju is at the attention level.
In the Chungnam and Jeolla areas, rain accompanied by gusts, thunder, and lightning is expected today, and the central region including the Seoul metropolitan area is forecasted to experience very heavy rain of 30 to 60 mm per hour until the 23rd.
