Publication Promotion Agency Provides 600 Million KRW Support for 120 Works from Small and Medium Publishers
The Korea Publication Culture Industry Promotion Agency announced on the 21st that through the ‘2023 Small and Medium Publishing Companies Publishing Content Creation Support’ project, a total of 120 manuscripts, including ‘5si Goyang-i,’ have been selected, and a publishing creation support fund of 5 million KRW per manuscript will be provided.
The selected works include 'SF Yeonghwa Sok Uju Gwahak Bbaemeokgi,' which thoroughly captures hidden stories and knowledge about space science in science fiction films; 'Hayeomeopsi Mueoseul Saenggakhamnida,' completed with the author's solid fundamentals and unique style; 'Ballyeodongmulgwa Hamkke Saneun Beop,' which practically discusses living with pets in relation to the law; 'Chigwaero Gan Ppalrae Jipgae,' which captures everyday subjects with a witty perspective; and 'Keopui Sidae,' which organizes the cultural, anthropological, and social science aspects of coffee through extensive research.
The judges stated, “It is meaningful that contents deeply embedded in daily life and capable of resonating with readers have been discovered,” and added, “We tried to prioritize manuscripts that are innovative yet highly complete, balancing expertise and popularity well.”
