Visited Goesan-gun Office to Deliver 600 Emergency Relief Sets Including Towels and Blankets
Gangseo-gu, Seoul is swiftly moving to support the recovery efforts of its sister city Goesan-gun, which suffered damage from heavy rain.
On the 20th, the district visited the Goesan-gun office and personally delivered 600 emergency relief sets consisting of towels, blankets, and other items. After assessing the status of disaster victims and the extent of the heavy rain damage in Goesan-gun, they prioritized providing essential daily necessities to the affected residents. Additionally, the district will engage in emergency relief activities including manpower and equipment support. A recovery dispatch team composed of two road-cleaning water trucks and about 40 volunteers will be sent to the flood-affected areas to assist with rapid restoration.
A district official stated, “We are deeply saddened by the heavy rain damage in our sister city Goesan-gun. We will mobilize all available resources to actively support Goesan-gun so that the affected residents can return to their daily lives as soon as possible.”

Gangseo-gu has actively supported its sister cities in times of disaster, such as providing 10.04 million KRW in donations and relief supplies to Gangneung-si, which suffered from a large wildfire last April.
