RF Semi "Jinpyeong Electronics Changes Name to RF Global... Targeting Global Market with K-Battery"
RF Semi is solidifying its position as a K-battery company and accelerating its global market expansion.
On the 20th, RF Semi announced that its largest shareholder, Jinpyeong Electronics, will change its name to RF Global (tentative). Its affiliate, Shanxi Lanwan Jinpyeong, is also planning to change its name to RF Energy (tentative).
The company stated, "We decided to change the company name to establish the brand image of a K-battery company as a domestic enterprise," adding, "We will utilize RF Global and RF Energy as production bases for RF Semi to focus on battery production and supply."
The company emphasized that the battery production plant located in Shanxi, China, is composed of domestic technology, capital, and personnel. It explained that the brand change through this name change is expected to maximize synergy with RF Semi.

An RF Semi representative said, "We will strengthen cooperation among affiliates to increase the market share of LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) batteries in the global market," and added, "We are also planning to establish a battery packaging plant in Korea to build the LFP battery value chain and mass-produce 'Made in Korea' products."
