Posimark Enhanced with Naver AI Technology... Product Search with a Single Photo
Fashion C2C Platform Poshmark Launches Posh Lens
Naver announced on the 19th the official launch of 'Posh Lens,' a service by Poshmark that allows users to easily and quickly search for products using just one photo. Poshmark is a global fashion consumer-to-consumer (C2C) platform acquired by Naver in January.
Posh Lens can be used by tapping the Posh Lens icon on the right side of the search bar in the Poshmark mobile app. It finds products that match or closely resemble the image taken by the user in categories such as women's and men's clothing, shoes, and bags. It is initially being introduced to users in the United States and will be expanded to more markets in the future.
Posh Lens is the first case where Naver's technology has led to the launch of a new service by Poshmark. It incorporates artificial intelligence (AI) image search technology, which is the core technology behind Naver's 'Smart Lens.' The two companies plan to accelerate synergy creation between Naver's technology and Poshmark's community starting with Posh Lens.
The AI image search technology applied in Naver Smart Lens automatically recognizes objects in images and finds similar images. Through Smart Lens, specialized searches are possible for various topics such as shopping, text recognition, and wine labels, allowing users to find desired products by image alone even if they do not know the exact product name.
