LG Donates 2 Billion KRW for Flood Damage Recovery Fund

Affiliates Also Provide Free Repairs for Flooded Appliances and Other Emergency Aid
LG announced on the 20th that it has donated 2 billion KRW to the National Disaster Relief Association to help residents in areas affected by prolonged heavy rains.
This recovery fund will be used for the rapid restoration of flood-affected areas and to support disaster victims.
In addition, LG plans to deliver emergency relief kits consisting of blankets, clothing, and daily necessities needed by disaster victims through the Korean Red Cross.
LG Electronics service managers set up a flood damage service base at the Happy Welfare Center in Osong-eup, Heungdeok-gu, Cheongju-si, Chungbuk, on the 16th and are carrying out recovery activities.

Its affiliates will also engage in emergency relief efforts such as repairing water-damaged home appliances and supporting wireless communication services.
LG Electronics has established service bases in the Chungcheong region, which was severely affected by the heavy rains, and is conducting free repair services for water-damaged appliances. Starting from the 16th, service bases were set up at the administrative welfare centers in Osong-eup, Heungdeok-gu, Cheongju-si, Chungbuk, and Buljeong-myeon, Goesan-gun, and from the 17th at the Gongju Women’s Long-term Youth Shelter in Chungnam, beginning restoration activities. LG Electronics inspects the condition of water-damaged electronic products regardless of brand or manufacturer on-site and performs cleaning, repairs, and parts replacement. They also operate a 'visiting service' where service managers directly visit affected households, and plan to expand service areas centered on affected regions, starting with Chungcheong.
LG Household & Health Care plans to support disaster victims in the Chungcheong and Gyeongsang regions, which suffered significant damage from the heavy rains, by providing essential daily items such as bottled drinking water, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, and body wash worth 500 million KRW.

LG Uplus, together with the Korean Red Cross, will provide free mobile phone charging and Wi-Fi services at temporary housing facilities set up for flood victims in Yecheon-gun, Gyeongbuk.
