The Publication Promotion Institute Holds 'Visiting Book Fair' in Bangkok, Thailand
37 Thai Publishers Participate
19 Domestic Publishers Participate
The Korea Publication Industry Promotion Agency and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will hold the '2023 Visiting Bangkok Book Fair' from the 19th to the 20th at the Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok to promote the overseas export of domestic publishing content.
The book fair will feature 37 Thai publishers, including Amarin and Nanmeebooks, leading publishing companies in Thailand.
From Korea, 19 publishers including Dasan Books Co., Ltd. and MiraeN Co., Ltd. will participate. BC Agency, a publishing copyright brokerage company, will also attend to facilitate export consultations for about 100 consigned Korean books.
An official from the Publication Promotion Agency stated, "ASEAN countries, including Thailand, represent a significant portion of publishing exports, and since Korean books continue to receive positive responses, we hope this consultation will provide an opportunity to introduce a wider variety of Korean works and expand cultural exchange between Korea and Thailand." They added, "We will continue to support practical export achievements of Korean books in various countries."
