Suncheon City Continues Support for Talent Development to Help Local Talents

Donation of 43 Million Won for Talent Development Scholarship

The Suncheon City Talent Development Scholarship Foundation (Chairman Nogwankyu) held a donation ceremony on the 18th to support the development of future talents in Suncheon City.

At the ceremony, donations were made as follows: Shinhwajeong (Representatives Kim Mija and Lee Yeorin) 10 million KRW, Suncheon City Forestry Cooperative (Chairman Jo Jeongrok) 10 million KRW, Song Kyungsik, Chairman of the Suncheon City Talent Development Scholarship Foundation Supporters Association, 10 million KRW, Kookje ENC Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Kyuhwan) 5 million KRW, PD Tech Co., Ltd. (CEO So Jaehan) 5 million KRW, Seungha Co., Ltd. (CEO Lim Hyunwoo) 2 million KRW, and Wonbulgyo Gwangju Jeonnam District Dong Suncheon Parish (Clergy Kim Jakyung) 1 million KRW.

Among them, Shinhwajeong has donated 20 million KRW to date, Suncheon City Forestry Cooperative 51 million KRW, Song Kyungsik, Chairman of the Suncheon City Talent Development Scholarship Foundation Supporters Association, 110 million KRW, PD Tech Co., Ltd. 21 million KRW, and Wonbulgyo Gwangju Jeonnam District Dong Suncheon Parish 2 million KRW. Additionally, the Supporters Association of the Suncheon City Talent Development Scholarship Foundation also held a ceremony to deliver 100 million KRW raised in the second quarter.

Suncheon Mayor Nogwankyu said, "Many citizens are anxious amid nationwide extreme heavy rains, and I am grateful to those who have not forgotten and have joined forces to nurture talents in Suncheon." He added, "We will do our best to ensure that our local talents become the future of regional development by honoring this sincerity."

Meanwhile, the Suncheon City Talent Development Scholarship Foundation, established in 2001, has awarded scholarships totaling 2.407 billion KRW to 2,721 recipients up to last year, including those with excellent academic performance, academic improvement, special talents, low-income backgrounds, and foreign students.
