Police Request Arrest Warrant for Jeon Jang-yeon Activist Who Bit Officer During Protest
The police have requested an arrest warrant for Yu, an activist of the National Solidarity for the Elimination of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities (Jeonjangyeon), who was caught in the act during a protest.
According to the police on the 19th, the Hyehwa Police Station in Seoul applied for an arrest warrant for Yu on charges of violating the Assembly and Demonstration Act and obstructing official duties.
Yu is accused of biting the arm of a police officer who was trying to arrest Lee Gyusik, co-representative of the Seoul Solidarity for the Elimination of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities, during a bus boarding protest at the central bus stop of Hyehwa-dong Rotary in Jongno-gu, Seoul, around 1:30 p.m. on the 17th.
