Damyang-gun Implements Comprehensive Plan for Integrity and Corruption Prevention
Accelerating the Construction of a 'Clean Damyang' Trusted by Residents
On the 19th, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that on the 17th, it held a ‘Comprehensive Plan Sharing Meeting for Integrity and Corruption Prevention’ to foster a clean public service culture, attended by senior officials.
The meeting was organized to analyze the 2022 integrity level and share this year’s strategies and tasks for integrity policies, aiming to gain momentum in promoting anti-corruption and integrity initiatives.
Before the meeting began, Damyang-gun Mayor Lee Byeong-no personally took on the role of a one-day integrity instructor and conducted a code of conduct training for public officials to eradicate abusive practices, reinforcing the commitment to integrity.
The county plans to establish and implement ‘Departmental Integrity Self-Practice Tasks’ through a Corruption Behavior Tendency Index (CBTI) diagnosis targeting all public officials to deeply understand internal integrity factors.
In addition, the county is uniting all public officials with one heart and mind by selecting ‘Enhancement of Integrity Education’ as a key task.

Mayor Lee Byeong-no urged, “Continuous self-assessment and reflection are necessary to overcome generational perception gaps regarding abusive behavior,” and added, “I hope everyone will do their best to realize a trustworthy and integrity-driven Damyang for the residents.”
