Ministry of Health and Welfare to Provide Additional 310,000 KRW Activity Support for Disabled Persons Affected by Heavy Rainfall
The Ministry of Health and Welfare announced on the 19th that it will provide emergency welfare support to vulnerable groups affected by the heavy rain, and additionally provide 20 hours of special disaster support benefits per month to disabled persons receiving activity support benefits.
For households facing crisis situations such as livelihood difficulties due to this heavy rain, emergency welfare support can be actively provided through the review of the Emergency Support Deliberation Committee of the city, county, and district, considering the crisis situation.

Disabled persons receiving activity support benefits who reside in the specially declared disaster areas and have reported damage caused by the disaster to local governments can use an additional 20 hours (312,000 KRW) of special support benefits beyond the existing activity support benefits under the Framework Act on the Management of Disasters and Safety. The special disaster areas include Yecheon, Gongju, Nonsan, and Cheongju.
