SPC Samlip exports K-ready meal 'Saeng (Raw) Batter Jeon' to the United States
SPC Samlip announced on the 19th that it will export traditional Korean food ‘Saeng (Raw) Batter Jeon (Pancake)’ that can be easily pan-fried and eaten immediately to the U.S. market.
Saeng batter jeon will be available at 26 stores of H-MART, a leading Asian supermarket chain in the U.S., starting from the 21st.
Saeng batter jeon features batter packed in a pouch form, allowing for easy cooking by squeezing it directly onto a frying pan without the need to add water, ingredients, or thaw it. It uses HPP (High Pressure Processing) sterilization, which sterilizes without heat, preserving the fresh taste and texture of ingredients such as vegetables.
There are four varieties: ‘Potato Jeon,’ which contains 72% domestically grown potatoes and has a chewy texture; ‘Chive Vegetable Jeon,’ made with abundant vegetables like chives, onions, and cabbage; ‘Kimchi Jeon,’ which includes kimchi, green onions, and chili peppers for a spicy and savory flavor; and ‘Mung Bean Jeon,’ combining mung beans and bean sprouts for a nutty taste.
