Gangnam-gu Conducts Online Self-Inspection of 3,765 Public Hygiene Businesses, the Most in Seoul
From July 17 to September 22, Self-Inspection of 6 Industries Including Beauty and Hairdressing, Accommodation, Bathhouses, Laundry, and Building Hygiene Management via Public Health Center Website
Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) will conduct an online self-inspection of 3,765 businesses across 6 industries, including beauty and hairdressing, from July 17 to September 22 to manage the hygiene status of public hygiene establishments.
The inspection targets include ▲2,890 beauty and hairdressing businesses ▲502 accommodation, bathhouse, and laundry businesses ▲373 building hygiene management businesses, totaling 3,765 establishments.
Among the 25 autonomous districts, Gangnam-gu has the highest number of these 6 industries. Through this self-inspection, the district aims to enhance the autonomy and responsibility of business operators in hygiene management and improve the level of hygiene services.
Business operators can visit the public hygiene business self-inspection section on the Gangnam-gu Public Health Center website and respond to about 20 inspection items per industry. During the period, they can conveniently log in without membership registration at any preferred time and submit their responses.
When public hygiene inspectors conduct on-site inspections, they can perform more efficient checks based on the pre-submitted responses, which also helps in business operations. For businesses that do not participate in the self-inspection, a joint public-private on-site inspection will be conducted with honorary public hygiene inspectors by the end of November.
