(CEOs Go Sang-geol and Kwon Hong-bin), gifted supplies to help children in group homes in Anseong City, Gyeonggi Province, get through the summer.
Group homes (shared living families) refer to child welfare facilities that provide care and protection services in a home-like environment for children separated from their families due to economic reasons, family breakdown, neglect, abuse, and other causes.
Good People and KC Group joined forces to assist group home children struggling with the heatwave. The two organizations gifted summer supplies to a total of 87 children across 15 group homes located in Anseong City, Gyeonggi Province, where KC’s headquarters are situated.
Specifically, for this support, employees from six affiliated companies within KC Group (KC, KCTech, KCENC, KCInnovation, KCINDUSTRIAL, KCPartsTech) participated in a walking campaign. The employees walked a total of 102 million steps, raising 12 million KRW in donations, adding meaningful value to the effort.
The gift boxes included items such as ▲umbrellas ▲handheld fans ▲tumblers ▲sunscreen ▲vitamins ▲stationery sets?supplies that help maintain health and support studying during the rainy season and heatwaves. Particularly, popular character-themed products were selected considering the preferences of school-age children.
Additionally, chicken and pizza gifticons were provided so that the children in the group homes could enjoy home parties together.
On the 14th, KC Group employees personally visited ‘Rosa’s House,’ a group home in Anseong City. The employees delivered the gifts to the children and helped clean the facility, which had been difficult to maintain due to a shortage of staff.
Im Mi-hwa, the director of Rosa’s House, expressed gratitude, saying, “KC Group employees thoroughly cleaned window frames, door frames, and screens that are usually hard to clean. The teachers, children, and I all received a rich and fulfilling day as a gift.”
KC Group employees said, “We are happy that our small steps have come together to give the children a joyful summer,” and added, “KC Group will continue to unite the will of its employees to carry on donation activities.”
