The prosecution investigating the '50 Billion Club' suspicion related to Daejang-dong has conducted a search and seizure on the family of former special prosecutor Park Young-soo.
Former special prosecutor Park Young-soo, who was indicted in the 'Fake Fisheries Businessman Bribery' case, is attending a trial held on the 11th at the Seoul Central District Court in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
View original imageThe Anti-Corruption Investigation Division 1 of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Eom Hee-jun) sent prosecutors and investigators on the 18th to conduct a search and seizure at the residences of former special prosecutor Park's wife and daughter.
Additionally, the prosecution is conducting a search and seizure at the residence of lawyer Lee, who belongs to the law firm operated by former special prosecutor Park.
Former special prosecutor Park is suspected of receiving benefits worth about 20 billion KRW and two detached houses as a reward for facilitating the issuance of a letter of intent for project financing (PF) loans and the participation of Woori Bank in the Seongnam E-Deul consortium from private operators including lawyer Nam Wook, related to the Daejang-dong development project during his tenure as chairman of Woori Bank's board from November to December 2014.

He is also suspected of receiving 30 million KRW in cash from lawyer Nam as election funds for the 2015 Korean Bar Association president election. Furthermore, he is suspected of receiving 50 million KRW from Kim Man-bae and others as a bribe for facilitating the issuance of the letter of intent for loans, with a promise of an additional 5 billion KRW in the future.
The prosecution suspects that the preferential benefits amounting to about 2.5 billion KRW, including loans received by former special prosecutor Park's daughter from Hwacheon Daeyu Asset Management, are part of the 5 billion KRW promised to former special prosecutor Park.
