Chae Gwang-cheol, Chief of the Namhae Regional Coast Guard in Gyeongnam, visited Mijo Port, Sangju Beach, and the Namhae Rescue Base Police Station, which are the southwesternmost jurisdictional waters in the area, on the 17th.
Chief Chae inspected fishing vessel navigation and communication equipment as well as safety management conditions, and ordered guidance and strengthened patrol activities to prevent fishing vessel flooding accidents caused by heavy rain, information sharing for preparedness against various accidents such as abnormal weather including rip currents and jellyfish damage, and proactive response and support.
