S-OIL and Korea Creative Content Agency Sign Business Agreement to Support Content IP Growth
On the 14th, S-OIL signed a business agreement with the Korea Creative Content Agency, a public institution under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, at the 'Character Licensing Fair 2023' to support the co-growth of the domestic content industry.
The signing ceremony was attended by S-OIL Marketing General Manager An Jong-beom and Korea Creative Content Agency Director Cho Hyun-rae, among others. According to the agreement, S-OIL will expand mutual cooperation with the agency in the field of content IP (intellectual property), including distribution, promotion, and joint planning of promising content from small and medium-sized enterprises.
At the signing ceremony, S-OIL General Manager An Jong-beom said, "The content industry is a field with infinite growth potential that creates high added value through intangible IP," and added, "We will fully support the channels and capabilities the company has to create successful content collaboration cases between large corporations and SMEs."

View original imagePrior to this agreement, S-OIL was selected as a platform partner for the Korea Creative Content Agency's content IP collaboration production support program, '2023 IP Licensing Build-up,' in June.
Also, through this program, the character 'Doudou,' inspired by an under-ripe glutinous rice donut and matched as the character IP of 'Gudoil,' was selected, and a collaborative booth was operated together at the 'Character Licensing Fair 2023' held from the 13th to the 16th.
In October this year, the 'Gudoil-Doudou Collaboration 3D Animation' is also scheduled to be released on YouTube.
S-OIL has been widely utilizing the character 'Gudoil,' introduced for the first time in the industry in 2012 to strengthen brand image through friendly communication with consumers, in TV commercials, character marketing, promotions, and customer touchpoints.
