The Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism announced on the 17th that the 31st Buddhist Media Culture Awards contest will be held from the 24th of this month until August 25th.

Eligibility for submission includes content created between August 25, 2022, and August 23, 2023, that reflects a Buddhist perspective. Categories include broadcasting, new media (YouTube, podcasts, webtoons, etc.), special sections (films, performances, advertisements, etc.), and journalists. Media coverage has been expanded from traditional newspapers to include online and offline articles.
Prize money includes 10 million KRW for the grand prize, 3 million KRW for the journalist award, 3 million KRW for the best award in each category, and 2 million KRW for the excellence award in each category. The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on November 2nd at the Korean Buddhist History and Culture Memorial Hall.
