Gwangju Seobu Fire Station, Intensive Promotion of Vehicle Fire Extinguisher Installation
The Gwangju Seobu Fire Station has launched a campaign to promote the installation of vehicle fire extinguishers targeting used car dealerships, auto repair shops, and multi-use facilities to minimize human and property damage caused by vehicle fires.
According to current law, fire extinguishers are mandatory for passenger cars, vans, trucks, and special vehicles with seven or more seats. Emphasizing the importance of having vehicle fire extinguishers, the law will be revised starting December 1, 2024, to require all vehicles, including those with five seats, to be equipped with fire extinguishers.
Accordingly, the Seobu Fire Station plans to distribute and post posters promoting the legal amendments regarding vehicle fire extinguishers and their importance, targeting citizens visiting used car dealerships, auto repair shops, and multi-use facilities.
Additionally, they plan to broadcast a self-produced video using large electronic billboards within the Seo-gu district.
