Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, is making thorough preparations to protect the lives of its residents by preparing for hydrometeorological disasters (such as typhoons and heavy rain) as the summer season begins in earnest.

He also personally visited towns and townships to actively promote resident action guidelines for hydrometeorological disaster preparedness, urging thorough efforts to prevent damage.
Deputy Governor Kim also instructed that disaster-vulnerable individuals be thoroughly identified and that resident evacuation plans be established to ensure that individual duties do not overlap.
Yeongdeok-gun has organized a pre-monitoring team led by the Deputy Governor, with all departments and staff participating without division of duties to prepare for disasters and be ready for deployment in case of emergencies.

Deputy Governor Kim Dong-hee stated, “In the event of heavy rain, even the detection of a small risk factor should prompt swift evacuation of residents, responding proactively to an excessive degree.” He added, “While we cannot prevent upcoming disasters, we will continue our best efforts to achieve zero casualties and minimize inconvenience to residents.”
