‘Dudream U+ Yosultongjang’ Cultural Experience Summer Camp... Water Leisure and Caravan Experience Included

On the 17th, LG Uplus announced that it held the ‘Dudream U+ Magic Account 2023 Summer Camp’ on the 14th and 15th at Wangteori Resort in Chuncheon, in collaboration with the Korea Disabled Rehabilitation Association. About 50 participants, including youth mentees from families with disabilities and LG Uplus employees serving as mentors, joined to provide cultural experience opportunities for the mentees. The ‘Dudream U+ Magic Account’ is an LG Uplus employee social contribution program that selects 150 vulnerable youth annually to support with scholarships and one-on-one mentoring. It is a long-term asset-building program over five years where youth in educational blind spots, LG Uplus employees, and LG Uplus itself contribute matching funds to help prepare the youth for their future.
The summer camp participants enjoyed activities such as ▲water leisure experiences ▲caravan experiences ▲cruise ship experiences ▲BBQ parties and campfires ▲and cultural experiences, creating lasting memories together. Through the ‘Dudream U+ Magic Account’ program, if a youth from a participating family saves 20,000 KRW monthly into the Dudream U+ Magic Account, LG Uplus employees contribute 20,000 KRW, and LG Uplus adds 60,000 KRW, accumulating a total of 100,000 KRW per month. Over five years, the approximately 6 million KRW saved is provided to the youth as a graduation scholarship.

Since its inception in 2010 through last year, the ‘Dudream U+ Magic Account’ program has awarded about 1.742 billion KRW in graduation scholarships to a total of 278 graduates. Lee Hong-ryeol, Head of LG Uplus ESG Promotion Office, stated, “It is meaningful to support youth in achieving their dreams through mentoring and cultural experiences, and our employees also cherish the opportunity to create good memories with the youth mentees.”
