Hapcheon-gun Conducts On-site Inspection of Casualties from Heavy Rainfall
Emergency Inspection Meeting with 13 Collaborative Departments Held
On-site Response Status Checked During Visits to Vulnerable Areas
On the 15th at 2 p.m., Hapcheon County in Gyeongnam Province announced on the 17th that Vice Governor Lee Seon-gi and responsible officials directly visited areas at risk of casualties due to concentrated summer heavy rains within Hapcheon County to conduct on-site inspections.
At that time, a heavy rain advisory issued by the Korea Meteorological Administration was in effect in Hapcheon. Although it was not raining, the soil was in a saturated state due to prior rainfall, making the area vulnerable to significant damage even from small amounts of rain or wind.

After the emergency meeting, Vice Governor Lee, along with department heads, visited disaster prevention and vulnerable areas such as Jeongyang Leisure Sports Park, Oesamhak Drainage Pump Station, and Byeongbaebae Pump Station in Hapcheon to listen to on-site response measures and jointly inspect disaster risk factors and residents’ inconveniences.
