According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, from now until the 18th, rainfall of 100 to 200mm is expected mainly in the Chungcheong region, Jeolla region, northern inland Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam region, and Jeju Island. Some areas will receive more than 250mm, and mountainous areas of Jeju Island may see over 350mm. Expected rainfall in Seoul, Incheon, northern Gyeonggi, and southern inland and mountainous Gangwon, excluding these areas, is 10 to 60mm.
The periods of concentrated rainfall are from the evening of the 16th to the early morning of the 17th in the Jeolla and Gyeongnam regions, and from the night of the 16th to the morning of the 17th in the Chungcheong and Gyeongbuk regions. Since heavy rain of 30 to 60mm per hour is expected in these areas, special caution is required to prevent rain-related damage.
Heavy rain will continue again from the 18th. In the Chungcheong and Gyeongbuk regions, rainfall will be concentrated from dawn to daytime on the 18th. In the Jeolla and Gyeongnam regions, strong rain of 30 to 60mm per hour will fall again from morning to afternoon on the 18th, with some areas expecting very heavy rain around 80mm per hour.
Jeju Island will experience rainfall of 30 to 80mm per hour starting from the 18th, with some mountainous areas expected to receive over 100mm.
The Korea Meteorological Administration urged, "Since there is a possibility of additional disasters, residents in dangerous areas should promptly implement safety measures such as evacuating quickly with neighbors after assessing the situation to ensure safety."
As of the 16th, the rain cloud band located over the southern West Sea and the southern sea is moving northward, bringing heavy rain mainly to Chungcheong and southern regions until the morning of the 17th.
As of 5 p.m. on the 16th, heavy rain of 30 to 60mm per hour accompanied by thunder and lightning is pouring mainly along the southern coast of Jeollanam-do and the coastal areas of Gyeongnam. Strong rain of 10 to 20mm per hour is also falling in inland Gyeongnam and Jeju Island. In Busan's Gijang-gun, rain is falling at 37.0mm per hour, and in Ulsan's Ganjeolgot, 34.5mm per hour.
Except for these areas, many places are experiencing light rain or a lull. Heavy rain warnings are still in effect for southern inland and mountainous Gangwon, Chungcheong region, southern regions, and Jeju Island.
From the heavy rain that began on the 13th until 4 p.m. on this day, 300 to 570mm of rain has fallen in the Chungcheong region, Jeonbuk, inland Gyeongbuk, and mountainous areas of Jeju Island. Very heavy rain of 100 to 350mm has fallen in the metropolitan area, inland and mountainous Gangwon, Jeolla region, Gyeongnam region, and Jeju Island excluding mountainous areas.
On Monday the 17th, morning low temperatures will range from 22 to 26 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs from 26 to 32 degrees Celsius, similar to or slightly higher than those on the 16th (morning 20.3 to 25.5 degrees, daytime 24.4 to 28.6 degrees). Some southern areas will experience a maximum perceived temperature around 31 degrees Celsius.
Major city temperatures are Seoul 23 and 27 degrees, Incheon 23 and 26 degrees, Daejeon 23 and 29 degrees, Gwangju 25 and 30 degrees, Daegu 25 and 32 degrees, Busan 24 and 29 degrees, and Ulsan 25 and 31 degrees.

From the afternoon of the 17th, strong winds of 30 to 50 km/h will blow over the southern sea near Jeju Island, with waves rising to 1.5 to 3.5 meters. Sea fog reducing visibility to less than 1 km is expected along the west and south coasts from the night of the 16th to the morning of the 17th, so caution is advised for traffic safety.
