BGF Retail Delivers Emergency Relief Supplies to Heavy Rain Damage Areas in Chungnam and Cheongju

BGF Retail, the operator of convenience store CU, announced on the 16th that it has delivered emergency relief supplies to the heavy rain-affected areas in Chungnam and Cheongju.
BGF Retail provided approximately 10 million KRW worth of food and beverages, including bottled water, ramen, ion drinks, and chocolate bars, to local disaster victims and relief personnel. The areas receiving emergency relief supplies were Nonsan and Geumsan in Chungnam, and Goesan and Cheongju in Chungbuk, which suffered damage from record-breaking heavy rain exceeding 400㎖.
BGF Retail is also considering additional support as the scale of damage is expected to increase.

In 2015, BGF Retail became the first in the industry to sign a 'Business Agreement on Disaster Prevention and Relief' with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the National Disaster Relief Association. Based on a network of over 30 logistics centers nationwide and more than 17,000 CU stores, it conducts national disaster prevention and emergency relief activities. Last year, during the Uljin and Miryang wildfires, BGF Bridge was the first in the industry to carry out emergency relief activities.
