HD Hyundai Donates 500 Million KRW for Flood Recovery... Supports with 20 Excavators
HD Hyundai has recently stepped up to help with flood recovery efforts across the country.
On the 16th, the HD Hyundai 1% Sharing Foundation announced that it would donate 500 million KRW to the National Disaster Relief Association. HD Hyundai Construction Equipment and HD Hyundai Infracore have each committed to supporting recovery efforts in the heavy rain-affected areas by providing 20 excavators and personnel, 10 units from each company.
This donation and relief equipment support come in response to the ongoing heavy rains this month, which have caused widespread damage including flooded homes, landslides, numerous casualties, and displaced residents.
Kwon Oh-gap, Chairman of the HD Hyundai 1% Sharing Foundation, said, "We will do our best to help those who have suffered unfortunate damage from the heavy rains to return to their daily lives as soon as possible." He added, "We hope that the donation, raised by collecting 1% of the salaries of our employees, will provide strength to those facing difficulties."
