70s Woman Swept Away and Drowned in Rapid Current of Chungjucheon, Chungbuk
At around 1:40 PM on the 15th, a woman in her 70s was found dead along the Chungju Stream in Bongbang-dong, Chungju-si, Chungbuk.
Earlier that day, at approximately 7:10 AM, a resident witnessed Ms. A (74, female) being swept away by the rapid current about 3 km upstream at Gyohyeon Annim-dong.
The 119 rescue team, upon receiving the report, conducted a search and found Ms. A after about 5 hours and 30 minutes, then transported her to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
