Delivery of Self-Reliance Support Funds and Volunteer Bread Baking Activities
S-OIL donated 30 million won to support welfare blind spots.
On the 14th, S-OIL Ulsan Welfare Foundation delivered a 30 million won “Neighbor Love Donation” to the Ulsan branch of the Korean Red Cross to support families in crisis facing welfare blind spots due to the economic downturn. The event was attended by S-OIL Executive Director Oh Seok-dong and Heo Jeong-gu, Secretary General of the Ulsan branch of the Korean Red Cross.
The donated funds will be used to support living expenses, housing, and medical costs for families in crisis in the Ulsan area, after the Ulsan Red Cross Solution Committee reviews and selects the recipients.
Also on the day, about 20 S-OIL employee volunteers participated in a bread-making volunteer activity, creating 200 sets of bread together with Red Cross volunteers, which they personally delivered to vulnerable groups and welfare facilities.
At the end of April, S-OIL had donated 30 million won to support baking facilities at the Ulsan Red Cross, and employee volunteers have been conducting bread-making volunteer activities quarterly.
Oh Seok-dong, Executive Director of S-OIL, who attended the event, said, “To practice sharing with the local community, we are carrying out not only donation activities but also various volunteer activities, and we will continue to strive to be S-OIL that stands with the neighbors in need in our society.”
Heo Jeong-gu, Secretary General of the Ulsan branch of the Korean Red Cross, expressed gratitude, saying, “Every year, the S-OIL Ulsan Welfare Foundation donates and carries out volunteer activities for neighbors in need in the local community, which is a great support.”
