Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters Holds Public Hearing in Busan on Continued Operation of Gori Units 3 and 4
Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power's Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters held a "Public Hearing on the Draft Radiation Environmental Impact Assessment Report for the Continued Operation of Gori Units 3 and 4" on the 13th at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 2 in Busan.
About 320 residents from six districts of Busan, including Geumjeong-gu, Nam-gu, Dong-gu, Dongnae-gu, Suyeong-gu, and Haeundae-gu, attended the hearing.
The hearing proceeded with an explanation of the draft radiation environmental impact assessment report for the continued operation of Gori Units 3 and 4 and the results of the public inspection, followed by responses to pre-submitted resident opinions chaired by former Nuclear Safety Technology Institute President Park Yoon-won, and then on-site Q&A.

The Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters began public hearings with residents of Gijang-gun, Busan on the 10th, followed by Ulju-gun, Ulsan on the 11th, and on this day, residents from six districts of Busan. In total, public hearings were held for residents of eight basic local governments. The hearings are scheduled to conclude on the 14th with residents from four districts of Ulsan (Nam-gu, Dong-gu, Buk-gu, Jung-gu) and Yangsan-si, in accordance with legal requirements.
