His family, who found him, immediately called 119 and transported him to the hospital, but he ultimately did not regain consciousness and fell into a brain-dead state.
After hearing from the medical staff that he would "never wake up again," Juyong’s family decided to donate his organs, hoping that he would live on somewhere.
It is reported that Juyong’s family, who had cared for his grandmother undergoing long-term kidney dialysis, understood well the difficulties faced by those suffering from illness. The bereaved family said, "We hope this will give strength to those waiting for transplants."
Born as the eldest of two sons, Juyong was bright and fun-loving, always bringing joy to those around him and was popular among his peers. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandparents and had many talents, especially a love for music, playing the flute in the Guri City Symphony Orchestra and the Korea University Wind Ensemble during his lifetime.
The family said, "There were several critical moments on the day he collapsed, but we respect and are grateful that he endured until the moment of donation," adding, "It seems God protected him so that we can find comfort in knowing he lives on somewhere."
Juyong’s mother also shared a final message, saying, "I really miss you so much. I’m sorry I couldn’t protect you, but I believe your departure was as you wished. Please understand that I will cry just a little. I love you, Juyong."
