Director Kim Han-min: "Yi Sun-sin Finale 'Noryang' Connected with Kim Yoon-seok"
The main cast of the movie 'Hansan: Rising Dragon,' which attracted 7.26 million viewers last year, gathered at the theater to celebrate its 1st anniversary.
On the 9th, director Kim Han-min and actors Kim Sung-kyu, Park Ji-hwan, Park Jae-min, Lee Seo-jun, Kim Jae-young, Yoon Jin-young, Lee Jun-hyuk, and Lee Un-san attended the 'Hansan: Rising Dragon' audience talk (GV) event held at Lotte Cinema World Tower in Seoul.
Distributor Lotte Entertainment stated that this GV was organized based on fans' planning and requests. Many fans, including those from Japan, filled the seats during the GV.
Director Kim said, "I am deeply moved and honored thanks to the fans and the actors who accepted the invitation. Thanks to you all, today's actor lineup is even more splendid than at the opening stage greeting."
Regarding the Yi Sun-sin trilogy following 'The Admiral: Roaring Currents' (2014) and 'Hansan' (2022), titled 'Noryang: Sea of Death,' Director Kim shared, "It was filmed more calmly and systematically than 'Hansan.'"
He continued, "Filming flowed smoothly without much explanation, as if there was telepathy with Kim Yoon-seok, who played General Yi Sun-sin's finale. I was deeply impressed by the wisdom felt in various aspects on the filming site."
Those unable to attend the event, such as Byun Yo-han, Kim Sung-kyun, and Gong Myung, sent greetings via video letters, and Park Hae-il, who portrayed Yi Sun-sin, expressed his gratitude through a handwritten letter.
