Howon University Fencing Team Excels with 'Geumjjireugi' at National Tournament
Howon University (President Kang Hee-seong) fencing team delivered a strong performance in the National Championship.
According to the Jeonbuk Sports Council (Chairman Jeong Gang-seon) on the 10th, the Howon University fencing team won two valuable gold medals and one bronze medal at the 61st National Men and Women Age Group Fencing Championship held at Jecheon Eoulim Gymnasium in Chungbuk from the 30th of last month to the 7th.
From the 30th of last month to the 7th of this month, the 61st National Men’s and Women’s Age-Group Fencing Championships were held at the Jecheon Eoullim Gymnasium in Chungbuk, where the Howon University fencing team earned two valuable gold medals and one bronze medal.

In the women's ?p?e individual event, Kim Da-eun defeated a player from Korea International University 15 to 11 in the final, experiencing the thrilling joy of winning her first individual gold medal since starting her athletic career.
The Howon University women's fencers, composed of Kim Hyun-ah, Choi Ye-won, Han Da-hyun, and Lee Yu-bin, claimed the gold medal by defeating Jungwon University in the team final.
Additionally, in the men's foil team event, Jang Jin-woo, Jo Ki-beom, Bae Jae-kwan, and Kim Si-woo narrowly lost to Korea National Sport University in the semifinals, settling for the bronze medal.
