Widely known as the "Bongcheon-dong Schweitzer," Director Yoon provided medical care for the poor in underdeveloped areas filled with shantytowns and treated over 2,000 children while visiting orphanages. In 1994, he established the Gwanak Scholarship Foundation to help students who could not continue their studies due to financial difficulties. Recognized for numerous contributions including medical services in underserved villages, he received the 1st Seoul Citizen Award and the Order of Civil Merit, Dongbaek Medal.
On this day, Director Yoon underwent a comprehensive health checkup at the newly established Health Screening Center in the Medicomplex annex. Anam Hospital, which started medical services in the new space, completed Medicomplex after more than ten years of development. Although the hospital's size has roughly doubled, it improved the medical environment by expanding patient treatment and hospitalization spaces without increasing the number of beds.
Korea University Anam Hospital has further strengthened essential medical services through the new Medicomplex annex. The Emergency Medicine Center located on the first floor expanded the existing center and reorganized zones to enable more patients to receive fast and accurate treatment and care. The lobby space extending from the hospital entrance on the second to fourth floors was designed as an atrium to maximize openness and optimize traffic flow. Outpatient treatment areas utilizing the Internet of Things (IoT) and digital healthcare, as well as smart wards, are in operation, and new Health Screening Center and VIP wards have been established.

Director Yoon said, "I congratulate the opening of Korea University Anam Hospital Medicomplex annex," and added, "I hope that the hospital will continue to be a respected medical institution delivering Korea University Anam Hospital’s medical care to many people, just as it has achieved remarkable development."
