Chairman Junho Lee of Deoksan Group Donates Autobiography to Universities in Ulsan Region
Lee Junho, the founder of Deoksan Group and a first-generation venture entrepreneur in Korea, donates his autobiography "Walking a Path Without a Signpost" to universities in the Ulsan area, including UNIST.
With this donation, UNIST, Ulsan University, and Ulsan College will receive a total of 500 copies of the autobiography.
The donation ceremony was held on the 10th at Deoksan Group located in Yeonam-dong, Buk-gu, Ulsan, attended by Kwon Sun-yong, Director of Industry-Academic Cooperation at UNIST, Lee Jae-shin, Vice President of Industry-Academic Cooperation at Ulsan University, and Lee Nam-woo, Vice President of Ulsan College.
At the ceremony, Chairman Lee said, "Just as I boldly challenged entrepreneurship 40 years ago, I hope young people in the Ulsan area freely pursue their dreams of starting businesses," adding, "I will support the activation of youth entrepreneurship in Ulsan as much as I can." He also urged the representatives of each university present to help ensure the book is widely read.
Chairman Lee has been consistently engaged in social contribution activities to nurture talent in the Ulsan region and promote youth entrepreneurship.
In 2021, he decided to donate 30 billion KRW of his personal funds to UNIST, and the establishment of the student startup space called the "Challenge Convergence Hall (tentative name)" on campus is underway.
Additionally, in June, he donated 500 copies of his autobiography to the Ulsan Creative Economy Innovation Center to encourage the entrepreneurial spirit of local young entrepreneurs. These books were distributed to local young entrepreneurs through the Ulsan Creative Economy Innovation Center.

Kwon Sun-yong, Director of Industry-Academic Cooperation at UNIST, who attended the donation ceremony, said, "Chairman Lee’s autobiography can provide new motivation to UNIST students who are very interested in entrepreneurship," and added, "UNIST will also provide various supports at the school level to foster venture companies representing Ulsan, like Deoksan Group."
