Gochang-gun Accepts Nominations for 'Citizen Awards and Honorary Citizen Certificates' Until the 9th of Next Month

Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk Province, is accepting nominations for the ‘2023 Gochang-gun Citizen Award Candidates and Honorary Citizen Certificate Recipients’ until the 9th of next month.

According to the county on the 10th, the Gochang-gun Citizen Award will select one recipient each in five categories: Culture and Sports, Public Service, Industrial Labor, Patriotism, and Filial Piety.

Nominees should be citizens who have greatly contributed to enhancing the honor of Gochang-gun and to the stability and development of the local community. Recommendations must come from the Gochang-gun Council, heads of institutions and social organizations, school principals, heads of county departments, or town and township chiefs.

The submission period is until the 9th of next month. Applicants must submit a recommendation letter, a record of achievements, certificates and supporting documents, and three passport-sized photos in person to the Administrative Support Division on the 2nd floor of Gochang-gun Office or to the town/township office.

Once submissions are complete, the final selection will be made through the Gochang-gun Citizen Award Review Committee in September, in accordance with the Gochang-gun Citizen Award Ordinance. Awardees will receive a Citizen Award certificate and medal at the 62nd Gochang-gun Citizens’ Day ceremony.

Nominees for the Gochang-gun Honorary Citizen Certificate are foreigners, overseas Koreans, or individuals from other local governments who have made significant contributions to the development of Gochang-gun’s administration. Recommendations must come from the Gochang-gun Council, heads of institutions and social organizations, school principals, heads of county departments, or town and township chiefs.

The submission period is until the 9th of next month. Applicants must submit a record of achievements, a resident registration abstract, a family relation certificate, and one passport-sized photo in person to the Administrative Support Division on the 2nd floor of Gochang-gun Office or to the town/township office.

After submissions are complete, the final selection will be made through the resolution of the Gochang-gun Council in accordance with the Gochang-gun Honorary Citizen Certificate Award Ordinance. Recipients will be presented with the Honorary Citizen Certificate and commemorative gifts at the 62nd Gochang-gun Citizens’ Day ceremony.
