Sports Stars Lee Kang-in, Kang Baek-ho, and 3 Others Begin 'KT Odaejang' Activities
KT announced on the 10th that it has launched the ‘Contact! KT Odaejang’ campaign, where five national-level sports stars (Odaejang) and the public engage in unique sports competitions to spread positive influence through donations and more.
‘KT Odaejang’ is a program where five sports stars sponsored by KT or belonging to KT sports teams gather to communicate with fans and create content. Now in its third season, the Odaejang lineup includes soccer player Lee Kang-in, KT Wiz’s Kang Baek-ho, KT Wiz’s Ko Young-pyo, KT Sonicboom’s Moon Sung-gon, and KT Rolster’s Kiin.
This season, titled ‘Contact! KT Odaejang,’ will focus on content activities created together with the public. The main content will be the unique sports competition ‘Odaejang VS National Odaejang,’ along with behind-the-scenes content for forming the Hangzhou Asian Games cheering squad called ‘Odaejang Hangzhou Asian Games,’ showcasing communication and joint support with the public.
The first content of Odaejang Season 3 was released on the popular YouTube channel ShootForLove on the 7th. The content introduced the new members of this season’s Odaejang and showcased the players’ high-level performances. On the 23rd, a unique game competition featuring Lee Kang-in and YouTube channel Physical Gallery’s Kim Gyeran, along with eight university students, will be revealed. They will share the concerns of university students living in this era and deliver messages of encouragement. Various Odaejang contents will be released through KT’s official YouTube channel, the Odaejang official Instagram, and collaborating YouTube channels until December.
Meanwhile, KT is also preparing to launch collaboration products to make it easier for customers to engage with Odaejang in their daily lives. Following last year’s collaboration with Haitai Confectionery that produced ‘Odaejang X Oh Yes,’ the second collaboration, ‘Odaejang X Ace,’ is scheduled for release in August. This collaboration aims to maximize brand synergy between ‘Odaejang,’ the ace of South Korea’s sports world, and Haitai Confectionery’s ‘Ace,’ a beloved national snack since its first release in 1974. The Odaejang X Ace, set to launch in August, will be produced in a limited quantity of 330,000 units, with a portion of the proceeds donated to those in need.
Lee Kang-in, who serves as the technical captain of Odaejang, said, “Through previous KT Odaejang activities, I had enjoyable times with various citizens, and this year I am very excited to be able to approach the public in more diverse ways. As an athlete, I am happy to continue meaningful activities with KT Odaejang.”
