Kim San, the governor of Muan County, visited nine senior centers in the towns and townships over two days on the 5th and 6th to mark the first anniversary of the launch of the 8th local government administration. During the visits, he listened to the difficulties faced by the elderly and spent sincere time talking with local seniors to ensure that no welfare blind spots occur.

According to the county on the 10th, the 8th local government administration has promoted senior-centered pledge projects such as converting senior centers to seated facilities, providing food expenses and air conditioners, and expanding job opportunities for the elderly. Going forward, they plan to further expand elderly welfare so that seniors can live healthily in a comfortable environment during the hot summer months.

In particular, as the elderly population in Muan County increases, efforts will be made to promote seniors' health and to establish a dense and safe welfare infrastructure to prevent solitary deaths by considering multifaceted support measures.

Kang Hyun-gyu, head of the senior association branch in Haeje-myeon, expressed gratitude, saying, “Governor Kim San provides wholehearted support for the development of elderly welfare and listens to the difficulties of each senior center, allowing us to enjoy a happy old age.”
