The second collaboration between Beanpole and Print Bakery was with artist Choi Hwan-wook. Choi is an illustrator known for his detailed painting style, unique compositions, vintage color tones, and thin lines.
The 2023 Fall/Winter Beanpole X Print Bakery collaboration collection consists of a total of 19 items, including short-sleeve round and collar T-shirts, short-sleeve crop T-shirts, sweatshirts, scarves, and other men's and women's apparel and accessories. The artwork applied to the products reinterprets preppy symbols such as school buildings, books, globes, sports equipment, and bicycles with Choi's distinctive delicate painting style, rich colors, and Beanpole's classic sensibility.
Beanpole set the theme of this collaboration collection as 'Ivy Social Club,' imagining the preppy lifestyle and classic sports culture that begin on campus, and conveyed the story of 'Team Beanpole.' Beanpole and artist Choi aimed to deliver positive energy by creating new codes for today based on aesthetics of tradition and unchanging values, imagining and realizing a better future.
Print Bakery, an art platform launched by Seoul Auction in 2012, pursues 'art in everyday life.' This core value aligns closely with Beanpole's pursuit of enriching daily life and timeless values.
In July last year, Beanpole introduced its first collaboration collection with Print Bakery, featuring four artists?Yohan, Greta Frieden, Seo Yura, and Park Sang-hyuk?under the theme 'Fantasy Traveler.' Among these, the sweatshirt featuring Greta Frieden's 'Lover series' sold out completely, with strong sales centered on T-shirts.
