Hansangcheol, Chief of Jeju Coast Guard, visited Jeju Maritime Police Station, Jeju Vessel Traffic Service (VTS), and patrol vessels on the 7th to inspect the maritime security situation in the Jeju area.

According to the Jeju Regional Coast Guard on the 7th, Chief Hansangcheol visited Jeju Maritime Police Station in the morning to check the overall maritime security status aimed at preventing maritime accidents during the peak summer season.

He also held a communication meeting with on-site staff at the Jeju Maritime Police Station auditorium, listening to their difficulties and suggestions, fostering open communication, and awarded commendations to three outstanding employees.

In the afternoon, he visited the Jeju Vessel Traffic Service Center and a 3,000-ton patrol vessel to inspect the preparedness for maritime accidents and the status of equipment, while listening to the challenges faced by police officers quietly performing their duties and encouraging their efforts.

Chief Hansangcheol stated, “As we enter the peak summer season, let us proactively identify and respond to risks related to maritime safety accidents, unite as one, stay true to the basics, and lead as a strong maritime police force on the front lines.”
